Advancing Your Role – Business Competencies You Must Know to Excel

So, you’ve mastered the HR “body of knowledge.”  You may even have your PHR, SPHR, or GPHR.  Yet, still you’re not contributing at the senior management level.  Why is that?  The short answer is that senior HR leaders understand the business—not just HR’s role within the business.

In this session, we’ll discuss the competencies necessary to be an effective business leader with superior HR knowledge.  We’ll focus on business outcomes, rather than transactional HR.

Specifically, attendees at this session will learn how to:

    • align HR practices with the organizational vision
    • focus on how their skills bring unique insight to the senior-level conversation
    • “brand” themselves as an HR value pro
    • posture as the champion of attracting, developing and retaining top talent.
