The Psychology of Persuasion: Motivating Ourselves & Others to be our Best:

Influencing ourselves and others to stay inspired and motivated despite constant change and chaos can mean the difference between being successful at your job or just getting by, between loving work or just enduring it. And influencing is about strategic and focused communication, reading non-verbal cues, utilizing emotional intelligence to diffuse conflict and generate loyalty and trust, and dispel illusions around communication. This keynote or breakout session offers techniques to leverage needed change by motivating others based on their needs, listening to understand before trying to engage or persuade, giving others a sense of control and decision-making autonomy and acknowledging what others are doing right, which is an essential priority in building rapport.

Techniques also include skills to communicate and clarify, using rapport-building skills, examining intent versus impact, disarming filters, giving inspirational feedback and being aware of transactional analysis/ego states and the impact they have on healthy conversation.

Jennifer Webb’s extraordinary programs combine magic, psychology, NLP, Emotional Intelligence, and other disciplines to reach people instantly with messages of inspiration and content. Her most popular programs are designed to propel thinking from challenges and frustration to “can do” and “possibilities. Her core message: Our attitudes and expectations create our realities and impact everyone around us, and we have the power to change how we think if it isn’t getting us the results we want.

Business communications specialist, performance coach, author of four books on human potential and motivational magician/speaker with a background and graduate degree in psychology, Jennifer teaches how to increase peak performance and create and reach goals. Her client base ranges from Honeywell Space Systems to Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Microsoft, American Airlines, the U.S. Navy and Airforce and leaders in numerous industries. She also served as a personal power coach for CBS Morning News, Reno affiliate for three years.
