Presidents Message

    It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to our new website, as well as serve as the 2011/2012 Chapter President. Whether you’re a visitor, a new member, or a long-standing member, we want this to be your first stop for all things related to Human Resources. In keeping with this theme, we have assembled an extremely talented board who are committed to the growth of our chapter and its members. It is our hope you will find necessary resources on our website or reach out to one of our board members, under the leadership tab, for assistance.

    The North-Central Florida SHRM a non-profit organization exists to build and sustain partnerships with human resource professionals, media, governments, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and academic institutions that influence the effectiveness and sustainability of our communities.

    Our organization is designed for community members interested in the HR profession to share expertise and create innovative solutions on people-management issues, and to proactively provide leadership, education, and research to human resource professionals, media, governments, non-governmental organizations, businesses, and academic institutions. We do this by connecting professionals through our monthly meetings and social networks. We have learned every member’s involvement contributes to the success of our chapter.

    Though NCF-SHRM is a long established organization in North Central Florida, we don't shy away from continuous improvement and working towards our strategic goals. In fact, we are currently implementing some of those goals and working towards building a better organization for our members. 

    Our strategic plan (as outlined and committed to by our entire board) is focused on some of the most important aspects of our chapter:

    • Sustained membership and membership growth
    • Community involvement
    • Relevant-actionable monthly meetings
    • Engaged leadership
    • Future-focused strategic planning
    • Financial stability
    • Board member investment (leadership focus)

    Throughout the year, the NCF-SHRM Board will work extremely hard in their voluntary roles to provide the best services and resources for you. This website, along with our monthly meetings, quarterly newsletters, and annual seminar are examples of how we plan to be the #1 source for HR in the North Central Florida area for HR and business professionals.
